The English name for Plas Mawr is 'great hall'. It is the best preserved Elizabethan town house in Britain.
It has been fully restored to its original splendour. The house is noted for its fine ornamental plasterwork.
There are many rooms to explore. There are audio visual exhibitions and a free audio tour available.
