Stretton Watermill
Hidden deep in the Cheshire countryside, lying in peaceful, picturesque surroundings stands a corn mill,
dating back to 1351 and steeped in fascinating history. Now fully restored to working order,
why not come and experience the sounds as you watch the waterwheels turn the ancient wooden machinery.
The site offers scenery surrounded by countryside to explore by foot or on bicycle.
Our guided yours provide a memorable experience for all ages. Visit our new exhibitions,
which feature displays on the history of the Leche family at Carden Hall, tell the story of the millers
and their work and show how the mill was restored over 20 years ago. You can also see working models and
find a small selection of gifts in the shop, before enjoying the picnic area overlooking the millpond.
