Camping with a tent for two people £9
Birch Bank Farm is a small family run farm and has been in the family since 1844 . The farm is set in the Cheshire countryside and all that can been seen any direction from the camp site are surrounding fields and hill sides. The camp site itself is located 3 miles outside of the city centre and so is very handy for people wishing to see the city and all that it has to offer and yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The farm itself is about 100 acres on which is grown cattle feeds for the winter months. The camp site provides male and female toilets with wash facilities. Male and female showers with changing facilities. During the summer months we also have freezers for ice packs. There are water points located around the camp site and appropriate washing facilities for cooking utensils. For caravans, motor homes and tents there are electrical hook-ups available (for an extra cost) On site there is also a chemical toilet disposal point. The camp site is open from May 1st until October 31st. We also run a recycling scheme that we ask all visitors to follow.

AA: 3 Pennants RAC: Approved Members of: B.H. & H.P.A. N.S.T.A. Brief History of Lower Lacon Caravan Park
Lower Lacon Caravan Park started life as the back entrance of the Aston Park American Army Camp (which was a munitions and distribution depot) built in the 2nd World War, on land compulsory purchased from Clive’s paternal grandfather. When they were developing the area they lost a D8 Bulldozer (it sank in the soil) so the Americans covered most of the Park with hardcore up to a depth of 3 feet, brought from local foundries, (which makes pegging in most places quite difficult). In 1971 Clive’s parents bought the ground back and decided to develop a caravan site.
We opened in 1974 with permission for 60 Tourers. In those days, there was 30 acres, no electric and only a small shop and one toilet block, which was smaller than it is today and we charged 66p per night. Clive, Judy and Clive’s Dad continued to Market Garden, on land across the road, to fund the development of the Caravan Park. Clive and Judy now own the Caravan Park following the retirement of his mother and later the death of his father.
Things have moved on a lot since those early days we now have 47 acres of land, and accommodate caravans, tents, motor caravans and static holiday homes.
210 electric points, 2 Toilet and shower blocks, a new shop with off licence, café and take away meals. An outdoor heated swimming pool, an adult only Club with a marquee for the children there is also a Barn, with a licensed bar where we hold family discos during the summer. Also for the children (or young at heart) we have a crazy golf course, a play area and some animals including, alpacas, sheep, goats, a pony, ducks and chickens.
Touring, Motor Caravan and Camping Site Small Secluded Static Holiday Home Park Caravan storage area. Calor gas and Camping Gaz dealer, free local delivery available. Spacious 47 acre site in the heart of the countryside.
