Located in the heart of the historic city of Chester, the Chester Grosvenor and Spa is one of the finest hotels in the north-west of England and one of a handful of hotels to be awarded five AA red stars. There are two award-winning restaurants at the Hotel, notably The Arkle, which has retained its Michelin star for the 15th consecutive year.

Dating back to 1865, The Chester Grosvenor and Spa is owned and named after the family of the Duke of Westminster. Throughout the 20th century, under the Grosvenor's careful eye, the hotel has earned a reputation as a proud bastion of tradition and taste. That reputation and the patronage of the rich and famous it has attracted, has transformed a mere hotel into an institution.

The Chester Grosvenor and Spa has adopted a non-smoking policy throughout the hotel and we have been awarded a Michelin Star for the 16th year.

The Chester Grosvenor and Spa offers two impressive dining experiences:

The Arkle offers contemporary dining in an atmosphere of supreme elegance and features one of the most extensive wine cellars in England. The Arkle has also retained its Michelin star for the 16th consecutive year. The Library is a comfortable lounge area of understated elegance that serves morning coffee, light lunches and features a traditional afternoon tea and pre-dinner drinks and cocktails in the evening.
