The Chester River Dee Charity Duck Race
Come along to the River Dee to watch the amazing sight of decorated corporate & community ducks racing on the river.
12noon - 2pm Viewing of corporate ducks and fun activities for children.
3pm - Race Starts Corporate & Community Ducks.
Raffle cash prizes.
The River Dee
The River Dee is named of the goddess of the river or the Deva from which the Roman name for the fortress is taken.

Chester Dragon Boat Festival
Welcome to the Chester Dragon Boat Festival website. Dragon Boating is a fun way for people to raise money for charity, the emphasis on the day is very much about team building and competition and is ideal for experienced crews and complete beginers alike. Dragon Boating is very quick to pick up so by round two, even novice crews find they are able to compete with teams that have done it before.

Kayaking can be a challenge but is also a physical leveller. You don't have to be fit to control a boat or particularly strong. No matter where you are with your physical abilities, you should be able to enjoy river paddling in a way that is fun and challenging in the right balance. Getting out on the water is great for your mental and physical health, and the opportunity to partake should be denied to nobody.

Help people gain confidence on river environments so they can become safe recreational paddlers in their own right.

Britain has an incredible natural heritage, and we need to wake up, explore and cherish what is right in front of our nose! Through Dee River Kayaking's activities, we hope to make a potential outdoor advocate of everyone who passes through.

Chester Paddleboard Festival 2023 has been cancelled due to lack of competitors. It will be back in 2024.
The PaddleBoard Festival is based in the historic town of Chester on the River Dee.
