The Spur Wall

The Spur Wall is a section of wall that connects Bonewaldesthorne's Tower to the Water Tower. The wall was added onto the City Walls to provide protection to shipping in the port of Chester. The river has since silted up and now runs a different course.

This piece of reused masonry came from the Old Exchange Building that burnt down. You can even see the scorch marks on it today.
Reused Masonry on the Spur Wall

This was the location of the Queen Anne statue that also came from the Old Exchange. The statue went missing in the 1960's. Just the base remains.
