CH1 is the stylish Students’ Union bar – the heart of your student experience! Close to all the halls and next to the campus canteen, CH1 can offer you all the cheap drinks (£1.70 a pint!) and entertainment you could want out of your University experience.
The bar is a great place to meet new people and relax, with comfortable seating, pool tables and a big screen TV for all those must see sporting events, from football to rugby – we’ll even put X-Factor on!
Last year we had loads of great events at CH1, including Ibiza and Radio One legend Judge Jules, cheesy X-Factor star Chico, indie-newcomers the Courteeners, DJ Luck and MC Neat, and captured the student spirit with B*Witched stars Keavy and Adele.
Along with our star performers, last year saw the launch of our hit Comedy Club once every month, as well as SU Friday this year, making CH1 the place to be on a Friday night. As a matter of fact, it’s the place to be any day or night of the year!
