| In August 2007 we were able to announce that we have taken over the running of part of the old Chester Gateway Theatre, providing us with a permanent base for the coming twelve months. While we will continue performning at other venues in the area, we have compiled a season of shows to be performed in Chester at our new venue, The Forum Studio Theatre.

Chester Theatre Club is Chester's biggest theatre club. We were formed in 1944, and generally stage 5 or 6 plays each year. Our venue, The Little Theatre, was bought by the Club in 1962. The Little Theatre boasts the following facilities: Comfortable upholstered seating for 126 people in a raked auditorium.
An adaptable, well equipped stage with matching technical facilities.
A large wardrobe of costumes from all periods.
A well stocked and spacious workshop to supply the needs of its productions.
Its own licensed bar, open to all members and visitors to the theatre.
A large clubroom which is used for meetings, club evenings and interval refreshments.

| Theatre in The Quarter is Chester’s leading professional theatre company. Founded in 2005, it has quickly gained a reputation for original music theatre, engaging with professional actors, musicians, directors and designers, as well as numerous members of the community, of all ages and abilities.
Its original productions draw inspiration from the lives and experiences of the people of Chester and surrounding areas. The company’s work is supported by Arts Council England and Cheshire West and Chester Council. Theatre in The Quarter also works with other arts organisations to make exciting projects happen.

Between July 6th and August 19th, the third season of Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre dazzled Chester with 51 performances in our own intimate outdoor theatre, this year with options of covered seating.
Just under 11,000 customers - an increase of 20% on 2011 - saw productions of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night sponsored by Essar, alongside Glyn Maxwell’s new sequel, Masters Are You Mad? .
The charming open air theatre, widely acclaimed, after only three seasons, as the finest outside London, presented am “Illyrian” trilogy of plays, including a prequel performed by our dedicated young person’s theatre company.
Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre is made in Chester and features a full size cast attracting some of the best theatre talent in the country.
Plans for 2013 will be announced soon and tickets will go on sale on 31st January 2013.

We offer professional tuition in Piano, Guitar, Singing, Acting, Dance, Musical Theatre and Music Theory
We also cater / hire for parties, events, rehearsal space etc.

Facilities for disabled patrons
The Vanbrugh Theatre is fully accessible to wheelchair users with disabled parking bays available for reservation. Please inform the Box Office by phone, email or in person of your requirements when booking tickets.
There is a designated disabled toilet facility next to the theatre, plus wheelchair spaces and an induction loop system available in the auditorium. Front of house staff will always be pleased to help if required.
Ticket booking deadline
The Box Office and on-line sales will close for each performance at 4pm the day before the show. Tickets may be available on the door subject to availability. Please see the notice board on the home page for ticket availability once the box office has closed.
