Coconut Hut is a brand new Afro-Caribbean cafe opened on Brook Street where Venue Cafe was. Inside seating for about 20 people, upstairs opening shortly. Bring your own bottle of wine and just pay corkage to open it.

The Chester Amphitheatre Dig has started up again.
The biggest dig in Britain is taking place in Chester's Roman Amphitheatre. Between June and September, our Amphitheatre is being excavated by a team of archaeologists. A partnership project between Chester City Council and English Heritage, the dig will help us understand the development as a city. You can chat to archaeologists in the nearby Chester Visitor Centre as they process finds, tour the site with them and view the exhibition with hands-on activities.
