Chester Women's Aid is holding an event at the Town Hall on 3rd March to celebrate International Women's Day and raise awareness and funds for families experiencing domestic abuse. With entertainment, raffle with great prizes, sales and information stalls. There is something for everyone to enjoy. Join us at Chester Town Hall to celebrate International Women’s Day in the heart of Chester on Saturday 3rd March 2018. A celebration of International Women’s Day - crafts, information stalls, grand raffle, light refreshments and a programme of entertainment on stage from local choirs, musicians, dancers and youth theatre, together with some performances on the Town Hall plaza throughout the day. Guest speaker - Prof Emma Rees of University of Chester. Any proceeds from the event will go towards Chester Women’s Aid emergency grant funding for people and children who have fled domestic abuse.
