Our annual Winter Market is set to be bigger and better this year as it coincides with the fantastic Hoole Lights Switch On.
We'll have even more stalls this year with treats.
Hoole will be transformed to the place to be this season, with stalls from Chester businesses, tasty bites to eat and some mulled wine to warm you up.
You can shop for your Christmas presents knowing you�re supporting local trade.

Gifts and handmade goodies from over 25 local makers and bakers.
Our very own Hobson's Cafe will be serving festive fare including turkey baps and mulled wine.
For the kids, the big man himself will be in residence in his grotto ready to be visited by all the good boys and girls.
We'll have marshmallow toasting, kids craft and face painting too.
The festive soundtrack for the day will be supplied by some fantastic community groups including a live choir.

Get ready for lots of Christmas themed entertainment and who knows maybe Santa will even make a visit. We are family friendly.

Newton Hollows

Newton Hollows is a superb example of a medieval hollow way. Over hundreds of years it was hollowed out through the constant passage of people, carts and animals. It originated as the Roman road between the legionary fortress at Chester and the important Roman manufacturing centre at Wilderspool in Warrington. In the 12 the century it was known as the 'valley of the Demons'. It was thought to be haunted and travellers feared an encounter with the 'Hound of Hell' - a huge slavering black dog with great white teeth like knives.
