UPDATED - TIMES FOR OUR FREE COACH SERVICE
Join us for our Countryside Day on Saturday 18th April 2026
Pick-Up Times
11:25am – Chester Train Station.
11:45am – Chester Racecourse (free parking available).
11:50am – Wrexham Train Station.
We will then set off for Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse.
Return Journey
Depart Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse at 17:50.
Return via the same route as the outward journey.
Important Information
- Only assistance dogs are permitted on our free coach service.
- Due to a clash with the football at Wrexham AFC, the return coach will not be able to access Wrexham Train Station.
Instead, it will drop off at the bus stop by Dunelm Mill on Central Road, which is a three-minute walk from the station.
- You will receive a ticket when boarding – please keep this safe.
- Your ticket ensures priority boarding for the return journey.
- Lost your ticket? No problem. You can still travel back, but you will need to wait until all ticket holders have boarded first.

Meet outside the Weighing Room at 11:30pm. With the show starting in the Parade Ring at 11:45pm.
Sheepdog Demonstration:
Begins in the Parade Ring at 12pm.
BEST DRESSED COMPETITION
Strike a pose at our flower wall by the Bangor Bar to enter.
You’ll be in with a chance of winning some fabulous prizes.
The winner will be announced in the Parade Ring after the 3rd race.
Plus enjoy:
Woodland adventures, tractors, and a pre-loved country clothing stall.
Dogs are welcome in the paddock enclosure for this fixture, but must be kept on a lead at all times.
Please note, only assistance dogs are permitted on our free coach service.
A paddock ticket is required to participate in or watch the dog show.

Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse is a left-handed jumps racecourse set in glorious countryside and overlooked by the Welsh hills. Easily accessible via the motorway and trunk road network, the racecourse is situated just 5 minutes from the A483, 10 minutes from Wrexham and 25 minutes south of Chester.
