2025 will mark the 80th anniversaries of VE Day and VJ Day on 8th May and 15th August.
It is an opportunity for the nation to come together to honour and pay repects.
A beacon will be lit followed by a concert in the square in front of the town hall.

A romping good re-telling of this timeless legend with lots of falling over, some getting up and dragons.
Chester will be celebrating St George's Day with a tournament to pick a brave knight to slay the Dragon and save the princess in a street performance with local school children.
This free public performance will take place in front of Chester Town Hall.

We bring 9 tonnes of handpicked vintage stock to our events for you to have a rummage through. Pick & Mix Mens & Womens vintage clothing from the 60s-90s, including all of your favourite branded names! Changing rooms on site so you can try before you buy.
STOCK IS REPLENISHED ALL DAY SO OUR RAILS WILL ALWAYS BE FULL AND FRESH, NO MATTER WHAT TIME YOU COME
WHAT CAN YOU GET FOR A KILO
There’s no minimum or maximum spend at our events so you can pick as little or as much as you want. Items start at 75p. We've got some great examples on our page.
HEAVY ITEMS
Things like coats are capped at £15. If you find any item weighing 1 kilo or more you will only pay a maximum of £15 for that item. Please point out heavy items at the till to redeem your discount or goods will be weighed at £15 per kilo.
PAYMENT
Once you've bagged your vintage haul, head over to our weighing stations where our friendly team will tell you what you've spent. Cash and Cards accepted.

Chester Women's Aid is holding an event at the Town Hall on 3rd March to celebrate International Women's Day and raise awareness and funds for families experiencing domestic abuse. With entertainment, raffle with great prizes, sales and information stalls. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
Join us at Chester Town Hall to celebrate International Women’s Day in the heart of Chester on Saturday 3rd March 2018.
A celebration of International Women’s Day - crafts, information stalls, grand raffle, light refreshments and a programme of entertainment on stage from local choirs, musicians, dancers and youth theatre, together with some performances on the Town Hall plaza throughout the day. Guest speaker - Prof Emma Rees of University of Chester. Any proceeds from the event will go towards Chester Women’s Aid emergency grant funding for people and children who have fled domestic abuse.
