But the river Dee silted up and trade declined and the city's development was frozen. Today Chester is a major tourist attraction and shopping location. Friday 3rd - Locals Day Saturday 4th - Pop Day Sunday 5th - Country Day Line Up: 80+ food, drink and artisan retail traders Beer & Cider zone, plus our Weetwood - Cheshire Beers and Spirits Stage with product talks and cocktail demos Live celebrity chef demos Adult cooking classes Live music all weekend, brought to you by Deva Fest Line-dancing classes from Country Line Time on the Saturday 4 nights of camping available, right on the Chester Racecourse Live Music: Deva Fest the North West’s number one festival who have just won the Best Event or Festival award for the second year running will be hosting our live music this year. Here’s what’s in store: Friday: Acoustic Day - Local acoustic acts bringing laid-back vibes. Saturday: Pop Day - Headlined by Gareth Gates, plus our kids pop party, Taylor Swift tribute act, singer Dani Mac, a pop DJ spinning the decks and more. Sunday: Country Day - Our Dolly Parton tribute, kids country party, Country Line Time bringing you a line-dancing class, singer Rob Wheeler, Country Beatz live singer and DJ act, plus more rootin’ tootin’ Wild West entertainment. Chester Food and Drink Festival is an annual event at Chester racecourse, set over three days it showcases food from around the country.
