The third Chester Card Show will take place on 1st & 2nd March 2025 and will be returning to Chester Racecourse in the Pavillion Suite.
The event will host over 72 tables per day with a mix of sponsors and vendors stocking your favourite trading cards and accessories.
There will also be food vendors onsite as well as a trade slash play area in the bar area.
All tickets include FREE entry to the trade night from 5:00pm-7:00pm

Calling all Pokemon collectors, If you're looking for the perfect event to buy or trade your Pokemon cards, come along to the Chester Card Show on 1st & 2nd March.
The event will see a mix of cards for every type of collector. Saturday is now SOLD OUT.

The Lord Mayor’s Fireworks Extravaganza Chester

Gates open at 5:00pm, quiet fireworks display start at 6:45pm and the main fireworks display is at 7:30pm
On Saturday Chester Racecourse’s iconic Lord Mayor’s Fireworks Extravaganza will return to the Roodee.
An unmissable evening with two displays and a funfair for all the family to enjoy.
Enjoy an 18-minute firework display that will illuminate the sky over the city, set to a curated playlist for an atmosphere unlike any other.
Earlier in the evening there will be a junior fireworks display for younger ones that might not like big bangs to enjoy.

Walking tour of the Chester Racecourse

Join Chris Clayton for a fascinating walking tour of the Chester Racecourse.
Explore the history and stories which make the racecourse such a special place, from Roman harbour, through to medieval football pitch and more.
The short walking tour of about 60 minutes, meanders through the Grandstands and along Chester’s City Walls.
To finish overlooking the art installation “A Sweet Connection, Sorry Paul (Way After Goteddsday)" 2023 by Nick Davies.

Access: The tour involves steep steps so is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with mobility issues.

We regret to announce the cancellation of the camping element of the festival, scheduled for March 28th – April 1st, 2024, at Chester Racecourse.
This difficult decision was made following a recent assessment by the Chester Racecourse grounds team, who deemed the camping area unsuitable for use due to current ground conditions.

This sell-out event has over 100 food and drink exhibitors on show in the heart of the city at Chester Racecourse.

A new stop for next year, the first travelling Rum Festival tour is coming to The Race Course in Chester.
Bringing you rum, cocktails, food and music from around the globe
On Saturday, March 24th 2018, The Pavillion Suite will host a brand new and original event.
The Rum Festival, will introduce you to over 100 different rums from around the globe combined with live entertainment, great food and free giveaways.
Lucy Douglas, the founder of the festival says, “The growth in the rum market and evolution in the variety of flavours and styles has been phenomenal over the last couple of years. Having been to some amazing Beer Festivals and Gin Festivals we decided to set up something for rum drinkers, somewhere fun where they could try new and exciting rums whilst listening to live music, eating great food and be surrounded by like-minded people.”
Rum is the most diverse and versatile of the spirits. Great on its own over ice, perfectly blended with your favourite mixer, or shaken up in a cocktail, rum is the perfect drink for any occasion. With a vast and diverse range of production methods and being produced all over the globe in varying climates, every rum is different and there is something for everyone.
So what can you expect?

On arrival, you will be greeted by a Rum’un; handed your Rum Festival glass (a gift for you to take home!) and a brochure, full of information on all the rums you can try, fun facts about each of the suppliers and the suggested garnish to compliment your drink.
Rum can be grouped into six flavour categories and that is how you’ll find them at The Rum Festival. White, Dark, Golden, Spiced and Flavoured; but don’t worry if you know nothing about rum there will be a welcoming team there to help you choose.
Throughout the event there will be live entertainment and dancing – including steel drums and salsa; sampling, the opportunity to talk to rum industry experts, tasty food to buy and above all lots of fun.
At the Chester event, The Rum Festival’s cocktail team will also be on hand to mix you some of the tastiest rum cocktails on the planet.
