"In this museum we remember: The Cheshire Regiment, The Cheshire Yeomanry , The 3rd Carabiniers, The 5th Royal Iniskilling Dragoon Guards, Eaton Hall Officer Cadet School.
And several other small Cheshire units - some now long retired (often from bigger corps of the Army).
We also remember the important role of the women of the Regiments and the lives of those who were left behind when the men left home to fight.
Don't miss the museum's newly expanded shop, with a range of gifts for all the family. The shop was developed with advice from Marcus Chase of Chase Associates, arranged through the Skills Bank, supported by Deloitte & Touche."
"GPMR is a 7¼" gauge railway located only a few minutes walk from Chester's historic city centre.
The railway, built in 1996 to commemorate the centenary of the Duke of Westminster's railway at nearby Eaton Hall, is popular with young and old alike and has become one of Chester's top tourist attractions. We operate steam and diesel hauled trains, on a ¼ mile circuit around the lake in Chester's Grosvenor Park."
