We’re thrilled to announce the return of our layout to the stunning Chester Cathedral, running from 24th July to 30th August.
As we celebrate Railway 200, marking 200 years of rail travel, our extended 72ft-long Watford Junction model will take you on a journey through the development of our railways.
We’ve got plenty of exciting new features in store, and some special friends joining us this year. Keep an eye on this page for updates and surprises.

The Cloisters Chester Cathedral Saint Werburgh Street Chester CH1 2DY And as we’re celebrating our tenth anniversary, we’re planning almost double the amount of trees – with over 90 trees across the Cathedral. Our annual Christmas Tree Festival celebrates it’s tenth anniversary this year. Join us for a delightful family event where, from the end of November. Until the beginning of January, beautiful Christmas trees will sparkle and shimmer throughout the Cathedral. Open Daily TBA 2024 Open normal Cathedral opening hours. As part of the 2020 theme of journeys, we’ll be looking at aspects of our own inner journeys and will be hosting a series of events in
collaboration with The Bodhi Tree Studios to explore this. Join us and Yoga teacher Emma for an hour’s yoga practice in this unique and beautiful space.
This class is based on physical postures (asanas), deep breathing, mindfulness and listening to the body.
It is suitable for all abilities and perfect for those who want to learn the fundamental poses in yoga.
The class will finish with a short meditation and relaxation.
You may bring your own yoga mat, or there will be spares available to use.
